Sweet Charlie plants on March 6, 2003.  This pic is typical of the damage sustained under the covers during the big Feb. freeze.  Notice the three blossoms with a black spot in the middle - those are dead.  These dead blooms were probably touching the frost covers.  The green berries are only two or three weeks away!

The plants can barely be seen through the ice and covers.

Don't worry, the Blackberries do not seem to have suffered any damage in the freeze.

The plants under the cover are staying warm ....... the other three are not fairing as well.
